In the context of orchid biology "hybrid" by definition is a product (offspring) resulting from crossing between 2 species of orchids or more subspecies.
Personally, on my orchids, I did several hybridization by pollinating different subspecies of orchids (non wild) through in-vitro propagation.
Its a time consuming process but worthwhile for an orchid lover.
